Jonathan P.H. Wong

Jonathan P. Wong is an established expert in infectious disease, immunology and drug
development. Upon completion of his undergraduate and graduate studies from University
of Saskatchewan in Canada, he spent more than 30 years of federal public service working at
a senior research scientist at the Defense R&D Canada, an agency of National Defense
Department, Canada. There, he also served as head of the molecular biology group, where
he established capabilities in drug delivery systems, nucleic acid-based drugs and vaccines
and novel immunotherapy, while providing expert advices to the Surgeon General of Canada
on effective medical countermeasures against zoonotic and pandemic infectious agents.
Upon completing his 31 years of public service for the Canadian Government, Jonathan
moved his family to Vancouver in 2018, where he established Dove Pharmaceutical
Consulting Company. Serving as Dove’s founding director, Jonathan provides expert
evidence-based consulting services to a number of biotech companies on matters relating to
research and development of novel drugs and vaccines, design of preclinical/clinical studies,
intellectual property management and regulatory science. He currently serves as a scientific
consultant to Immunitor International (HQ Thailand) on oral immunotherapy , and as a
member of the scientific advisor board to Lakewood Amedex Inc (US) on novel therapies
against multidrug-resistant pathogens. Throughout his career, he has published more than
100 scientific articles, book chapters and conference papers and abstracts, serves on the
editorial boards of several international journals. He is co-inventor for more than 15
patents.
